Is there a reason that I should have Michael drinking from a regular sippy, vs a sippy with a straw? He does way better with the straw.

Thoughts?

Taylor uses both. She prefers the one with the straw but really, it doesn't matter.

Thanks! I'm still working on him on tilting back his cup. He never grasped holding the bottle... He picks it up - puts it in his mouth, but doesn't get that you have to tilt it back.

Taylor would tilt her head back with the straw one. I had to teach her not to with that one, but yes to tilt it back with the sippy. Does he get any bottles? Maybe try sitting him more upright when he does so he learns to tilt his head back if he wants anything to come out

ya, all his milk still comes from a bottle... he only takes water out of a sippy for now... the only time I can get him to take the bottle himself, is just a little bit while he is laying down. But - he isn't tilting it... I've tried to show him, he just takes his hands off the bottle and expects me to do it!

We use a straw sippy, I think it's way easier for them to learn than the spout ones, at least with my girls it is.

Parker struggled with the tilt-back one for awhile, and then all of a sudden after he started holding his own bottle he could do it. He really does like the straw one though. He loves straws!

We use a sippy with a straw, DD only likes to drink from regular cups or cups with straws. She only drinks water out of them. She only takes about 1-2 bottles per week and nurses the rest of the time. I think I am going to move her over to taking her breast milk out of a sippy while I am gone and get rid of the bottles completely.
