I hadn't really planned to do much for Shawn's first birthday other than having a small cake. But, you guys have sort of made me feel inspired. I may make him a cute cake instead of a plain one. I still probably won't have a party. We'll probably just do something with the kids. I have no idea what I am going to do though.

we have no family in town and we dont really have friends..just some acquaintances..but my husbands parents are coming out from michigan and my mom, grandma, SIL with niece and nephew are coming out from california to celebrate his first birthday. it's really nice of them to come out, so we're going to have a small family party. i'm excited about making the cake and cake pops.
they have to plan around my niece and nephew's spring break from school so the party will most likely be on easter. since it's all family, it wont be an issue.
I'm not sure yet, but I think it's going to end up on the bigger size. DH doesn't want a party, but that's too bad, I want to go all out because the first year is a lot of work, and I think we need to celebrate that we survived! Plus, I love planning parties, and I want to share Rebecca's special day with everybody.
Can't wait to meet our new baby GIRL! Never forgetting all my sweet angels: Twins 10 weeks 1/2010 Baby B 8 weeks 8/2010 Angel 5 weeks 3/2013
DH doesn't want a big party either. But I think it may be a bit bigger than expected. Family of course, but I'm going to invite my Sunday School class, (which is 6 people with a few kids) and I want to invite some friends from back home. I'm looking at about 34 people counting the kids. Eek! That's a lot. But I actually live so much closer to family. And there is more family that I didn't even count. Scary!
