Every time Alyssa has pizza, pasta with sauce, baked ziti, pretty much anything with tomato in it her cheeks and chin turn really red. It takes a day to go away but I dont see any rashes or a hard time breathing or any change. We are going to stay away from tomato and talk to her doc but I never heard of an allergy to it. Does it sound like she has it?
she has had everything else and no reaction. we have pasta here all the time. she is pretty much eating everything we eat. she has had wheat products as well. i never heard of a tomato allergy either. my son has a doc appointment tomorrow so i am going to bring it up about alyssa and see what she says.
I asked her doctor and she said it may not be the tomatos but something else in the sauce. so she wants me to give her an actual tomato to see if that does anything. if not i have to pretty much go threw everything in the tomato sauce to see what it could be.
Hudson's skin gets the EXACT same way with anything with sauce too. I was thinking it had to be something in the sauce, but then a friend got me looking into a wheat allergy too. He gets the same way with pizza, spaghetti, breadsticks, graham crackers, gold fish crackers, and the other day it was chicken noodle soup. I am going to just start a food diary and go from there.
