I had the same ob for both kids and would go back for a third. He is laid back which I like. He had jury duty the day I had Oliver which meant I had the on call doc at the hospital but even that was fine. He was also laid back and made happy chatter when he was in there. I've also been super lucky with the labor and delivery nurses both times.
I don't know. I've had two c/s already. If I were to choose a scheduled c/s (if we decide to have another), I would probably use the same office. There were two OBs; both were wonderful and my c/s went as well as it could for being an emergency. DS1 was stuck in my pelvis after 4 hours of pushing. DS2 was a VBAC attempt that ended in an emergency c/s; he was very tangled in his cord.
However, part of me still really wants to try for a vaginal delivery. I think if I decided to go VBA2C, I'd choose a midwife.
I LOVED the birth center where I had Evelyn but now we will mostly likely be moving in a month or two for my husbands job and the thought occurred to me that the next place we live could not have a birth center, and there is NO way I am going to give birth in a hospital unless there's a problem. I would probably have a home birth instead or drive to get to the birth center if it's a reasonable distance lol. I will be sad to not give birth there next time
I LOVED my doctor, but I'm not planning on going back to her. This is only because she is a Maternal Fetal Specialist and only takes high risk pregnancies...hopefully none of my future pregnancies will be high risk!
the Dr I had was a referral because of my high BP. He was late in the game but, did a great job with my delivery along with his partners. They were quick and efficient. What I didn't like was that he was Catholic(which I didn't know), so I would never be able to get my tubes tied, or speak about birth control with him except for natural family planning. That was frustrating. Also, his bedside manner was like most really busy OB's. In and out quickly

Maybe - I'm still undecided. She did a satisfactory job, but I don't love her like I loved my first midwife. I definitely intend to have a homebirth again next time and I think we will meet with a few other midwives to see if we have a better connection before committing to one next time.
I had a different doctor with all 5 kids. But, my last OB/GYN was Amazing!!! Wish I would have had him with all my kids. If DH changes his mind and we have a 6th. I would definitely go back to him.
That makes me feel a little better. I've seen a different doctor with all my kids too. I keep trying to find the right doctor for me and I just haven't found the one. I wish I could go to my kids' pediatrician for everything. LOL. He's the only doctor that I've really clicked with and like.

I will probably use the same one just because the practice is the only one with midwives that actually deliver in my area. I did not want an OB due to c-section reates. Lucy was sunny side up, not the easiest labor in the world, but I made it. The practice has 4 midwives and I like them all so I'll stick around. The practice itself could be a little more..hm..upscale (it's in a hospital basement, very plain, etc.) but the care is professional so I'm good!
Nooooo waaay!! I actually switched OB during my pregnancy and that one was okay and had a totally different doctor deliver me. Since then, we've changed insurances so I would have to switch anyway. I recently found an OB that I just love, so I'll definitely use her.
My OB I used for most of my pregnancy was SO moody. Sometimes she was nice and sometimes just rude. She wouldn't listen to our questions and snapped at my husband a few times. She also liked to lecture me about my weight all the time. I gained 40 lbs. during my pregnancy which was a bit much, but I did not need to be lectured at every appointment!
