Hey ladies..

Now I am shopping for a new laptop... but have always wanted an ipad...
What can I NOT do with an ipad? Of course my main concern would be JM, uploading/editing pics, fb LOL and general web browsing and photo sharing.

Possibly some nickjr games and stuff for dd1.

Please let me know is ipad can do all this stuff... if not... i will spend the money on a new laptop.

THANKS =D

Responding on my iPad!
My laptop is old but still works but seems SO slow. I need one because I work from home 2 days a week. And I loved my iPhone so my husband surprised me with an iPad for my birthday. I'm in love!
Internet browsing, fb, JM, all that is super easy. Picture sharing is too---my husband got me something that connects my camera to my iPad for downloading. I love that I can use it anywhere that has wifi. I wouldn't type a lo document but doing this kind of typing is easy. Reading books is great. LOTS. Of apps for kids, my older 2 fight over it. Some websites may have movies you can't watch because of flash but that's rare. I shop on here all the time.
It's lightweight. Battery lasts a good while. I can't say enough!

i dont have an iPad, I want one though. BUT everyone I have talked to says that it doesn't replace their laptop. We were trying to decide if we wanted an iPad or a laptop. This was the feedback we got.

I have both, and as much as I Love my ipad for surfing the net and using the apps, like Amy says, it definitely doesn't replace your laptop. Your laptop has memory to save pics and other stuff to, it was Microsoft word/excel which their pad doesn't have. I haven't been able to print from my ipad either because I don't have a way to connect my ipad to the usb cable that goes to my printer.
