My poor baby has some type of stomach bug. He threw up in the middle of the night 2 nights ago - and then again when I got home from work yesterday. We tried to give him something to eat - and it came right back up. Then last night, at 1am - again.

Big mess - bathing kid, washing sheets, cleaning walls, crib, floors...

He is still wetting diapers - and he has been getting some water down.

Any advice? He has no fever - and seems totally fine after he pukes.

Well - he managed to keep down a bowl of oatmeal and some milk so far today... cross the fingers - as he kept food down all day yesterday until I got home!!! Tonight DH has school - so I will be without help to bath the kid if he barfs all over himself!

How's he doing now? When my daughter gets a stomach bug, her stomach is sensitive for a while. She'll feel "fine" and then get sick again after we think she's over it. Just have to go easy on food. Assuming he doesn't get a fever or any other weird symptoms he'll probably be totally over it in a day or two.

yeah, everyone's getting the stomach bug! My LO was hit hard with it on Monday. He vomited 3 times, all of which was quite a significant amount. So scary! He was also fine after vomiting.. in fact, he was pretty happy-go-lucky after vomiting. No fever either.

Anyway, try to avoid giving LO whole milk or anything dairy (except yogurt). Instead, make sure to keep LO hydrated with Pedialyte. Mine doesn't like Pedialyte so I stuck with water... I heard that other options are Gatorade (just make sure to brush their teeth afterwards), apple juice, or chicken broth.

As for food, stick with the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce and toast) if LO seems hungry. I fed my LO pancakes or french toast sticks, bananas, and applesauce. He got better in a day. Good luck and hope your LO feels better!

Poor little guy!! I hope he is feeling better now! How is he doing? DD1 had a stomach bug not long ago, she was vomiting/diarrhea for about 10 hours. Dylan had an upset tummy and a bit of diarrhea not long after but it wasn't too bad. It's definitely going around!!

Well - I thought he was over it - and last night, middle of the night again - he vomited. It wasn't as bad this time as it has been. He ate pretty well yesterday.

So - I'm thinking since my nephew will be at my parents house tomorrow, and that is where Michael is supposed to be - I probably should stay home with the little guy? Or would you send him if he doesn't vomit tonight... I don't want to get my nephew sick.

I'm going to give the ped a call today and see what she has to say too... thanks for the advice!

I'd prob keep him home.I know Daycare wouldn't let Taylor come back until it's been 24 hours of no vomiting. Poor Michael, I hope he gets over this quickly.
