I have been working out for about 3 weeks now, and I already feel so much stronger. Starting out I have just been doing exercises at home in the living room after the babies are in bed, about 3x a week. The first time I was huffing and puffing, it was soooooo hard! I could barely do 5 modified pushups and could not hold a plank for more than 10 seconds without collapsing. Well, I am happy to say that I can now do 20 pushups and can hold a plank for 2 sets of 20 seconds each! I am so proud of myself and encouraged by my progress!
The one thing that I need to do better on is my diet. I am not doing bad per se, but I could be doing a lot better and filling up on lower calorie snacks. I just need to make a better effort preparing my snacks ahead of time.
I also need to be walking more- I barely get out one time a week with the cold weather we have been having. It seems to be warming up a bit more though so hopefully that will change soon and I will be able to get out with Dahlia without worrying so much.
I haven't lost any weight yet (maybe 1lb?), but I'm actually proud of myself for not gaining considering my diet and lack of cardio (plus I know I am gaining muscle)! I think once I get those other components in place I will finally start to lose.
I was doing very good but here recently I have had a lot going on and got out of the swing of working out and I have been eating JUNK! I go back to work on the 27th and I am hoping I will find the time to work out between Lydia, and housework. I am already feeling like I am going to have no time with her I hate the thought of giving any time up that I have but I know I need to be in good health for her too.
Good for you Rachel!!! Isn't it awesome to feel the strength gains? Keep up the good work. I totally agree though, slow and steady wins the race!!
I'm down a total 28lbs (of the 46lbs I gained) so I still got a ways to go. Starting to feel so much better though. The scale was stuck for a while, but now that I think I got my hormones straightened out it's finally moving again!
Thank you Julka for my beautifully, perfect siggy!!
