Whose little one is working on sitting up, or doing it for real?

Maggie is able to sit up unassisted for a minute or two or sometimes more, then she falls over on her side usually. But she can't get herself into a sitting up position of course. I also find she can sit up longer if she's got something in her hands to focus on, otherwise she's like looking around and stuff and then she loses her balance and flops over.

Luigi is starting to sit better when I position him like a tripod . . . he can stay in that position for a few minutes.

Owen can only hold it for a few seconds before he topples over, unless he's braced between my legs.

Audrina can sit up for a few seconds if I sit her up...then she tips over and thinks it's hilarious!

She has been trying to sit herself up on her own and it's SO stinkin' cute! She lifts her head and shoulders and looks like she's doing a little sit-up!

Jakob can't sit up yet, but he tries really hard...when you lay him down that's all he does is try to sit up...when you help him he usually falls over, so he's not ready yet lol

mine love to sit up anywhere they are. If im holding them they want to be sitting up on my lap. I have to hold them of course.

The past few days they have been doing very well at sitting on their own on the floor if they hold my fingers. Its a step!

My fat boy flops over. He can do it for about 30 seconds, but then falls over...and proceeds to roll around the floor. I think he is just not a stationary kid. He wants to go-go-go! He even arched his back to get down when I sit him between my legs.

Brooke can only sit up on her own for a few seconds. If she is between my legs or something thhen she does better. Once she falls she can not get back up and just lays there.

Blake is always trying to sit up when she's seated at an incline, but she can't pull herself up. If I position her sitting she can sit for a few seconds but then she tips to the side. I still haven't even seen her roll over yet! My mom has seen her twice, but otherwise that's it!

Amelia is working on it. She sits up for a second if I position her, but then she falls. If I lean her back against my legs and then hold a toy in front of her, she will try and try to sit up, and sometimes she gets all the way up ... she just can't hold it lol.

Maggie is not that into rolling either--she can do it but she doesn't do it often.

Blaine can sit for a couple of seconds and then he topples over. Im sure if I spent more time practicing sitting with him, he'd get it. All in good time.
