You might need to have more posts to be able to do that. I know that it takes a while for people to be able to post links as well. There is an option (the little icon that looks like a mountain scene) when you write a post.

Welcome mama! I am Ashlee...a cohost of this room. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anytime. We have a fabulous group of women in here I hope you feel right at home.

I am a mommy to Kieran who is my "October 2011" baby (he came September 16th) and his big brother Liam (October 2009).

Can you tell us about your little guy? What does he like? What milestones is he working on?

We have a wide range of ages, likes, abilities, and sizes in this group! It is fun to hear about others little babies

Hello Ashley nice to meet you...my son is the most amazing little man, he is such a good baby he has some problems, he has torticollis and plagiocephaly , acid reflux, anal stenosis and hes about to get surgery to remove his adnoids. He is such a little trooper he never cries with anything he has to go through. He is a comedian he loves to make you laugh, he is very smart on picking up things you do and he tries to imitate everything you say or any noise you make, hes obsessed with mickey mouse, if mickeys on tv he wont eat drink look at you or move until its over lol he is learning how to roll over, he can roll from his back to his stomach very easy but he has a bit of a hard time getting back onto his back after, he cant sit up yet he wants to so bad though he is in physical therapy which helps alot so hell be sitting in no time. The one and only problem he has lately is his sleeping, he never sleeps, he takes like 3 20 min naps during day then hes up until 1am and every 45 min after that he used to sleep all the way through the night and then about a month ago he started flipping out at bedtime, Any suggestions on how to help him sleep??? I am a new mother im learning as I go

Welcome!

I wish I had sleep advice. It just seems to be something that most of our babes are going through right now. Audrina had about a month and a half where she slept through the night...then after her 4 month shots BAM she is up every 2 hours and doesnt nap at all during the day!

It'll pass though, that's what I keep telling myself!

welcome! i'm liz, mommy to my baby girl Rowan who was born on Sept 29th. Rowie was sleeping through the night a while ago too, then went through this phase of wanting to party in the middle of the night and apparently she's decided that naps are stupid and fights them. she's actually napping right now, but it's a cold rainy day in my usually sunny san diego, so naps aren't too dumb today! i've started feeding her solids a few hours before bed then breast feeding her with the lights on so she has a full tummy when she goes to sleep, seems to be working better, she's sleeping almost all night.

Welcome! I'm Beth, my daughter Maggie was born 10/17. My oldest, Jim (who is now 4 1/2) had torticollis, he got PT for it which helped a LOT. Luckily he didn't end up with plagiocephaly but two of his friends from the NICU did, they had to do the helmet thing for a while but are fine now with perfectly shaped heads.

Could the reflux be what's waking him up at night? I'm starting to suspect that's our problem with Maggie. Last night we put her down at about 9, and she woke up at 9:30, spit up a tiny bit of white goo, fussed for a little while, and then I settled her down and she went right back to sleep. So I'm wondering if that's why she's waking up a bazillion times a night--when she wakes up she's arching her back and making like a loud groaning noise, like she's trying to push something out her butt, only she's not actually pushing anything out. I'm going to bring it up with the ped at her 6-month appointment because right now we are making zero progress on the sleep thing.

thank you all, i dont think the acids keeping him up it worse in the morning he is getting surgery next week to check out his nose and throat he snores and he stops breathing in his sleep I think that might wake him up. We are doing PT every other week and doing exercises at home for his neck it seems to be gettin better thankfully, but his head isnt getting any better his PT said that the helmet is more of a cosmetic thing not medically necessary so my insurance probably wouldnt cover it so im just hoping they are right they said once he starts moving different ways that his help will shape up right.....Does anyone have any thoughts on the flu shot, I believe its coming up at 6 months, I am scared I dont want him to get it, are family has very bad experiences with flu shots??
