Um, wow. When I thought it was bad, I shoulda shut my mouth!

I am so confused. Kieran was waking every three hours or so until last Sunday. This week has been horrible. I don't know what happened, but his behavior all around changed. He cries whenever I put him down, he won't play on his own anymore (he used to be perfectly content on the floor for 20 minutes at a stretch) and he wakes every.single.hour throughout the night. Sometimes staying up for as much as two hours in the night. Any ideas what might have happened? Anyone experience this with a previous child? Or even having it happen with this one?

NOTHING changed in our routines, patterns, or ways to put him down. I didn't leave him at a stretch and he didn't get hurt or anything. Motrin doesn't help...and I don't see teeth coming in or anything. He has an amber necklace, just in case that is the issue. I wear him as much as possible during the day. And I always stay in his sight during the day. But I am running out of ideas (and patience, to be perfectly honest...Liam has been tough lately too).

Thanks for letting me whine! I sincerely hope it is a short stage.

We seem to be going through the same thing. She does not nap at all..sleep at night is brutal...sometimes she is up multiple times in one hour. Also very clingy and wants to be held a lot!

It's tough at times, but I just remind myself that it will pass!

Reflux? The lack of sleep is so brutal...fingers crossed that he's back to normal soon!

Aw sorry natty! That stinks.

Kierans was actually his ears. I just didn't update this thread. He had a double ear infection, which was pretty far advanced in his left side. I felt bad that I blamed it on teething or development and did not have him in sooner. But he is feeling much better and we are working toward getting back on a normal schedule. Last night he slept better than he has in months. So I am hopeful!
