Well Emmalyn is finally over the neverending flu...but tonight we were playing on the bed and she was crawling around and it sounded like she was grinding her top and bottom teeth so I opened her mouth and sure enough she was rubbing them together! Any ideas on how I stop this I dont want her ruining her teeth.

Hmm I'm not sure but maybe some other ladies have had experience with that. I hope you get some answers!

Daniel my 6 year old does it. Our dentist said there's really nothing you can do for children. You can do a mouth guard for adults when they do it and it causes pain and/or teeth issues, but he doesn't recommend them for kids.

Alexis will grind her teeth, but not for long periods of time. I don't think they do anything about it at this age?

OK well I guess I will just wait it out and see, maybe she will forget about it. I think she thinks it is a funny sound at this point. Thanks for the help!

When Alexis does it we make a sort of pained face and say NO that's not good for you. Then we do our best to give her something to distract her. She has slowed on it recently.
