I have Mastitis again it started getting painful last night and sure enough this morning I have the chills and threw up. I can't even get in to a doctor till later today. This is now the second time I've had this in two months. Maybe it's just a sign that I should quit breastfeeding. I've done 10 months, that is around the time I wanted to start the weaning process anyways, but the thought does make me a little sad. Plus I don't really know how. He loves to nurse and still does it several times a day/night. I just feel so awful and no more breastfeeding would prevent this
If i had mastitis twice in two months it'd make me wanna quit, too. The one time I had it was enough to make me want to die. So awful. I have no advice for weaning, sorry. I thought hard about doing it a few months ago and then decided to stick with it and I am thankful I made that choice, but I know that's not right for everyone. Everyone's different. Like your baby, Miles is very fond of nursing so I wouldn't even know how to begin weaning him until he's more ready.
