I think Ari is allergic to something. Ever since she started eating more, I have noticed she poops a LOT. I'm talking about 6-8 diarreah diapers a day. Her favorite things to eat are bread, graham crackers, and waffles. Do you think maybe it's an ingredient in those foods that is causing all the diarreah? I am working on trying to figure it out, but in the meantime I am worried that she is not getting enough nutrients since she is pooping so much and only drinking about 10-15 oz of formula per day. Does anyone here give baby a vitamin? What kind/brand is it?

Has she been on antibiotic in the past few months? 6-8 watery stools is a lot. I'd give the doctor a call. I wouldn't think a food allergy right away.

Try giving her some bananas, applesauce, crackers and rice (BRAT diet) and see if that helps, but I would definitely call her doctor.

Okay, I will put in a call to her pediatrician in the morning. She has not had an antibiotic in a few months. I started noticing this 3-4 days ago. It may have been occuring longer and I just wasn't paying any attention to it. She is not acting fussy like she has a stomach ache or anything. She was wayyyyyyyyyyyy tired today. She slept 14 hours overnight, and was mad at me for waking her up. She ate an entire bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and then wanted to take a nap right after. She went down for her normal naptime and slept 3 hours straight. Then she went to bed 30 minutes early tonight. I am thinking her sleepiness is completely unrelated though, because that's new today.

Are they really watery or just really loose? Could be just trying to adjust to the new foods.

I give Tristan the Poly-Vi-Sol vitamin drops. When I first tried he hated them and they smelled and tasted awful. However, I have been mixing it in with his yogurt and he eats it right down. Also, if you are worried about dehydration, I would try some pedialyte. 6-8 diahrrea diapers is a lot in one day and I can't imagine that would not cause dehydration issues. I hope she feels better!

Ive been doing some reading about food allergies and thats definitely one of the signs but I would think there would be other symptoms as well. Im interested in what your DR has to say. It sounds viral to me, and the sleepiness probably related to the virus or perhaps dehydration if shes pooping that much with only 10-15 oz a day.

I second the pedialite. You you can get it unflavored and clear so you can mix her formula right in it.
Did you talk to the dr yet?

Poor baby girl. I agree that it sounds viral, especially with the sleepiness, rather than because of the food (which I see she likes eating now! I remember you were worried about her lack of foods before- yay!)

What did the dr say?
