Will has had a terrible cold for a few days now. No fever but extremely runny nose, sneezing, coughing, and generally miserable. Well now his cough has turned productive (phegmy) and his snot is yellow. Is this something he should see the doctor for??

Funky colored snot could be a sign of a sinus infection, but without a fever its not likely.
Put a pillow under his crib mattress so he sleeps more upright and put a vaporizer or humidifier in his room.
Flushing his nose with saline can help too.
Hope he feels better soon!

Agree with the vaporizer idea. Also running a hot shower and letting him breathe in the steam helps.
Hope your babe is better soon.

This is what I was thinking. Tristan just started coughing last night and this morning his nose was runny terribly. He got really mad trying to nurse because he couldnt breathe so I took him into the bathroom and ran a hot shower to decongest him. Hope your baby feels better

Thanks everybody. He's not much better today so I'll try the humidifier.
