We are going on an airplane with baby in about a week. It will be baby's first time on one. Its a short flight, just under 3 hours. Any tips on how to make it easy on baby?? Unfortunately it falls right around his nap time and I don't think he will nap not laying in bed.

Bring plenty of things to entertain him. And snacks.

I don't have any other advice. Good luck!

I've heard if they nurse/take a bottle during take off/landing that should help with the pressure changes. Sort of like how they suggest adults chew gum.

Yep this. Or a pacifier. Good luck!

Thanks! I was thinking about the popping ears so I will for sure give him a bottle or pacifier during take off/landing!

We flew when he was 6 months and are going again in about a month.
6 months was a piece of cake-he slept the whole time. I'm a little nervous about this time since he is much more active. Snacks and computer games are what we are bringing.

I am flying at the end of June and I am freaked out about it too! Just because she is so much more active now, she will not want to sit on my lap for 2 hours. And I am going alone. Great!

I would suggest bringing snacks and favorite toys, and other than what was already suggested, just hope for the best!

I have one of those baby bjorn baby carriers. Baby can face forward in it. I was thinking about wearing it on the plane so baby could be on my lap without me holding him the whole time.....have any of you done this? Is it allowed??
