I don't get a chance to come here much anymore, so I thought I would say hi post a little update on what we've been up.
Alexis will be 10 months at the end of the month and has been growing like crazy. She's very active, she's been crawling for a few months and is all over the house. She stands and cruises, and I'm happy with that because I'm not in a hurry for her to walk! She is very easy-going and easily entertained. She will laugh at anything! I love it, and she's a good balance between independent and attached so sometimes she is happy hanging out on her own and other times she wants to cuddle with me and hang out on my back in the Ergo. She loves her sisters and could play with them for hours too. She LOVES to eat, I swear she will eat anything that I put in front of her. She still nurses mostly but has 1-2 meals a day and drinks water out of a sippy at meals. She has her 2 bottom teeth and the top ones will be coming through any day. She's not a horrible teether but has been going on nursing strikes when she is having a bad day and won't nurse most of the day. She's also a bit of a biter, ouch! I'm trying to enjoy every little bit of her first year because DH still holds firm that she will be our last so I want to just soak it up.
As for me, I've been very busy. My shop has been taking up much of my free time so I've been trying to only get on the computer when I need to answer emails or check orders so I can keep up with everything else. My DH has been traveling a lot for work so it seems like when he is home, we use that time to catch up. My other 2 girls can be a handful, Abby is on summer break now which is good some days and not others. Sometimes they entertain each other and other times it seems like they fight non-stop all day long (I guess I better get used to that with 3 girls)!
We're leaving in a few days to go to Maine to visit my husband's family. We only see them about once a year and this will be the first time that everyone (except my MIL and FIL) have met Alexis, so we're really excited for the trip! Not so excited for the car ride, but Alexis did well when we went to visit my sister in PA a few months ago so I'm hoping this trip will be just as smooth.
