List your family's favorite meals and recipes for them if you have them available. I need some more ideas lol.
Last night, I tried a new recipe I have never done before. It was easy, but a little tedious and very messy lol. Something Lily will love helping me make when she is older, though. Everything was fresh and raw, except the onions lol. Baked boneless skinless chicken breasts dipped in a generous amount of french's french fried onions (I used waaaaay more the recipe lol because I felt like it needed it), rosemary roasted baby red skin potatoes with some garlic and salt and fresh cracked pepper, and fresh, raw green beans. It was a big hit! I'm looking forward to having it again lol.
A tip for the chicken: When you bake it, use a shallow cookie sheet and place it on a middle or lower rack and put the potatoes closer to the top or ya might burn the french fried onion before the chicken is anywhere near done lol. At least I did lol. The potatoes, if baked closer to the top, turn out nice and brown. To the bag with the crushed onions and tbs or two of flower, I also added some salt and fresh cracked pepper to spice it up. For my own touch, I tossed a sprig of fresh rosemary between each chicken breast on the cookie sheet.

This is one of my all time favorite things to make. It's soooo good! I always add a little extra pepper because I like spicy.
3 skinless and boneless chicken breast, about 8 oz. (cut into small chunks)
1large yellow onion (sliced)
2 green bell pepper (cut into thin strips)
2 tablespoons soy sauce (use 1 tablespoon to marinate the chicken)
2 teaspoon freshly milled black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon Maggi seasoning
2 tablespoons oil
Marinate the chicken strips with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce for 10 minutes.
Heat up a skillet and add cooking oil. When the cooking oil is hot, add the sliced onions and quickly stir-fry until aromatic and follow by the bell pepper and black pepper. Stir-fry for 1 minute and add in the chicken chunks. Continue to stir-fry until the chicken is cooked. Add in soy sauce, Maggi sauce, sugar, and continue to stir-fry until the onions are caramelized. Dish out and serve hot. We serve it over white rice.
