So Amelia is sitting up just fine by herself and has been for a couple months now but she like to throw herself backwards on purpose. When she was first sitting up and a bit wobbly I started putting a pillow or the boppy around her in case she fell over now she throws herself back on it all the time so i'm afraid not to have it there. When other people are holding her and sit her down to play I feel like I have to run over there and tell the to sit right behind her or put a pillow behind her. .. just in case.
I've talked to friends and family about what to do and no one has a good answer besides "she'll grow out of it". I understand this but what do I do in the meantime? She has already bonked her head quite a few times doing this and just continues to do it again.
To top it all off I gave her a "big girl" bath tonight in the bathtub. She usually does just fine but tonight was a different story. She was mad a decided to throw herself backward in the tub. Luckily I caught her before she fell but it scared me.
Anyone have a LO that does this? Any advice on what to do?
Jordana does it when she's throwing a fit. She usually throws a fit if I'm not picking her up right away, which means I'm a few feet away so I can't even catch her. I don't think there's really anything ya can do...
