I only let Alex crawl at indoor playground type areas when he was a crawler. Otherwise, the only time we were in public he was either in the stroller because we were walking or in a high chair if we were eating. Bella is just starting to crawl now so hopefully she's cooperative like he was or I won't be getting out of the house much!
I'm not a germaphobe by any means, BUT Olivia is one who automatically puts anything she finds in her mouth.
The only places I have let her crawl at publicly are the dance studio where my 3 year old goes and the indoor mall playground but it's brand new.
Depends on the public place but usually she's in a high chair or stroller..I don't mind her crawling around somoene's house..And just like Olivia, Hailey puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, whatever she picks up goes in her mouth (dog food, wrappers, bouncy balls, you know it it's been in her mouth)
