I know I lurk more than post, but I'm interested in knowing what everyones LO weighs right now and when they were born.

My DD was born May 16th and she was off the charts for weight for the longest time (I was breastfeeding - as soon as I stopped and switched to formula she started growing) and now she is 24lbs 12 ounces as of today. My doctor gave me a chat about how she weighs too much. She said she's above the 90th percentile and should be around the 75th at the most. She eats really healthy foods, but lots of them. The girl likes to eat. She also doesn't really walk. She CAN walk unassisted (has done it about four times now) and she walks like a pro and even runs when holding her push toy but she just chooses to crawl instead. I didn't think there was anything wrong with her but I'm curious to know about everyone elses LO around the same age!

Edited to add: She's 32-33"

Miles was 8lbs 4oz at birth and weighs 30 lbs (95th percentile) as of his 15 month appt. The doctor was happy with his size.

Reagan's about 23 lbs 6 ounces plus or minus. She's 16 and a half months. She was born at 8 pounds 11 ounces. My mom's a nurse and told me kids are supposed to triple their birth weight plus or minus at a year. I don't think 24 pounds and change sounds heavy. Generally, I'm a big believer in knowing when your kid is fat. There's a difference between a "solid" (muscular) child and an obese one...I think doctor make quick judgments sometimes.

Logan was 6 lb 2 oz at birth (4 weeks early). He was 20 lb 8 oz at 15 months. That was around the 7th %tile. He's always been a skinny minnie though, hovering around the 7-20th %tile.

Lily was 7 lbs 14 oz at birth and at a year, she weighed 20.5 lbs which was 32%ile I think. As soon as she starts walking, I'm sure she will maintain the same weight for a while. I'm not sure how much Lily weighs now but I don't think it's much more than what she was at a year.

Sarah was 7 lbs at birth and a little over 24 lbs at her 15 mo appt. She's a little on the short side. She was cute chubby until she started walking and has thinned out. She only gained 1 lb from her 12 to 15 mo appts. She started walking right around a year. I think your LO sounds fine!!

Glad to see others are around the same size! I never thought there was anything wrong, she's got a bit of chub but definitely not "fat." Just kinda caught me off guard when the doctor told me that I needed to stop feeding her so much.

I don't think she weighs too much at all. Zane was 28lbs at 33 inches tall. Right now I'm not sure exactly how much he weighs, but its only been a month then. He was only 7lbs 4oz at birth.

Rebecca was born April 2nd, she was 6 lbs 8 oz. She's 15 months, and she's in the mid 18 lb range, and maybe 28-29 inches, but she's on the smaller side in the 2nd percentile.

Annabelle was born 4 weeks early @7lbs 2ozs.

At 15 months she was 21.9lbs 31 inches. 70% for height. Can't remember weight.

Once my girls really started walking they seemed to loose some chubby ness.

Shawn hasn't been to the pedi in a while. Last time he was only in the 36th percentile for weight. He weighs around 23 lbs now. He was 5 lbs 14 oz at birth.

FWIW, my son Jeremy was a rolly polly. Think he weighed around 20 lbs before he was 3 months old. He's a skinny thing now. I think babies slim down once they get a little more active and I wouldn't worry about it.

Emerson was 6lb11oz at birth (another 4 week early baby). At 12 months, he was about 18.5lbs. He hasn't been weighed since, but I'm guessing he's probably around 20-21lbs. He'll be 18 months next week.

dd was born 5-27-11 she weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces. At her 15 month appt. she weighed 21 pounds 2 ounces and she is 31 inches tall. Dr. was stunned. dd had previously been teeny tiny 3rd % for weight and not much better for height. Now dd is 25% for weight and 75% for height.
Typically drs will look at the individual dcs growth and as long as they stay on their own trend then they are fine.

My son is now one year and 3 months and he weighs about 22 lbs. I only have an estimate because I stepped on the scale with him at the gym. He was growing fast the first year, but the last few months since he's started walking he's only gained one or two lbs. He's still growing taller, he's just lean. I try to feed him almond butter to fatten him up.
