Hi! I am an Air Force wife. My husband is tech school instructor and the school house is on an army post. He is deployed to Afghanastan right now but when he gets home we will be moving to Ramstein Germany. Or that's the plan now anyway. We have terrible luck with our orders always being changed or cancelled last minute.
Lily has been having seizures and was in the hospital earlier this week so I have a feeling this will delay our move. Oh military life.
Her first one we were told was Febrile seizure because she spiked a temp out of nowhere. It took a few days for her to be back to normal and things were fine for about 2 weeks when she started rolling her eyes back in her head and staring with a blank expression. I would look to see what she was looking at but there was nothing, I would wave my hands in front of her, no reaction, but then it would stop as quickly as it started. like 10 seconds max. She had 3 or 4 of these episodes that I witnessed over the course of 2 weeks and the clinic told me they were also seizures. I had no idea! So she was sent to the hospital for some tests. The EEG came back normal but the MRI was fine too but came back showing she has a malformation where her brain is sitting too low in the back of her head (Chiari malformation). This shouldn't cause the seizures, but now we have a whole bunch more appointments lined up.
