We have one and use it. We didn't have one for 7 years before we renovated. I can't believe I went that long without one! But we were childless and working all the time so it wasn't like we had a ton of dishes to do, which made it more bearable.

Nope dont have one. I remember being so excited about getting it when I was a kid and then it was like uh, I have to wash the stuff before putting it in here. Maybe they have improved a bit in the last 20 years though. Dish washing detergent crepes me out a bit, it seems so chemical and toxic that even though it gets rinsed off I wouldnt feel right eating off what is constantly exposed to it. I have no better reason for this than my gut feeling though. Call me weird.

We do, but I do have to rinse the dishes off really well before I put them in or they come out with dried gunk on them. I'm at work so I can't check, I'm not sure which brand it is, but I'm pretty sure it was the cheapest one out there that the previous owners put in.
