When will you start the transitioning? How will you be doing it?
Olivia had her 9 month appt (20 days late) and the dr said since her hemoglobin and blood work was good we could start the transition.
Today we did 7oz of formula and 2oz of whole milk and she drank it all up, just like it was normal.
I will probably do this for a week, and next week do 6oz of formula and 3oz of whole milk.
I will continue doing that weekly until she's on complete whole milk
The doctor has me transitioning Riley from the Nutramigen to a milk based formula first and then a few weeks after that around 11 months we will start with whole milk. So far she is tolerating the new formula and my wallet likes it much better as well.
Unless my dr says other wise I plan on starting at 11 months with adding milk to her bottles starting with 2oz and upping it by 2oz or so each week until we are completely on milk. First I need to get her to drink out of a sippy soon.
