I apologize for the disgustingness of this topic, but I need some help.

My hemorrhoids never went away after Lily was born. I had a csection and even though I pushed for three hours, that was not the cause of hemorrhoids. I first noticed them right around 13-14 weeks pregnant. I struggled with bad constipation. I believe constipation to be the cause of them. They were very painful all throughout my pregnancy and bled constantly, preventing me from treating with prep h. They stuck around the first several weeks post partum. Even though it seems it has shrunk and I'm down to only one instead of several, it won't ever go completely away. I honestly don't notice it most days, but when it flares up holy cow. Im trying prep h, and that helps, but the skin in that area is so irritated and, well, stretched from the hemorrhoid that even when the blood leaves thanks to prep h, it never completely goes away. I apologize for the excessively gross topic, but I don't know what else to do.. Anyone else still dealing with this? What helps you?

Have you tried witch hazel? Tucks pads have that in them. I would ask your doctor to check them to make sure nothing has prolapsed or anything like that. If it were me I would be taking a stool softener every day that way it wouldnt give them the chance to rupture. Ive never had them so I wouldn't know but my brother gets them because he is chronically constipated because of the suboxone that he is on. He does tucks before and after going and take dulcolace everyday.

I've never had them either, but I was going to suggest taking Colace every day for easier going to the bathroom and also use tucks pads. I also heard sitz baths help a lot too.

I got them a lot a few months ago because of the way I was sitting while pumping and the fact that I had to pump for near two hours thanks to a single pump.

One refused to go away for weeks even though it had shrunk and stopped hurting. I just used the medicated wipes each time I went to the bathroom and I tried finding other ways to sit.

Though there are people who get hemorrhoids that never go away and they have to get surgery, but that can be chancy.

If you feel like it'd be embarrassing to buy the medicated wipes, just grab a thing of those make-up remover pads and a bottle of witch hazel. It's probably cheaper to do it that way anyway.

Where can I find witch hazel? Is it available on most pharmacies?
