Who has read this? Or all 3?

I recently did.

What did you all think??

I have to say it got me in the mood I didn't think it was well written or anything though. But it made hubby lucky. And I got into the story line part and wanted to know what would happen with the characters so I had to keep reading and read all 3 books in like 4 evenings. lol

I want to read them to see what the big deal is about them. I just haven't gotten around to it.

It's on the list to read along with the hunger games books.

I haven't read them, but I agree I'm curious to see what all the fuss is about!

I read them, they didn't get me going on the sexual front, but I got caught up in the story. It was very poorly written, and at time frustrating to read for me because of the overuse of many words and repetitive everything, but it wasn't enough to make me put them down either.

Hunger Games was awesome. I'm thinking of doing a re-read on them.

No interest in 50 shades. I've heard way too much negative to make me go and pick them up.

The Hunger Games I just re-read this weekend. I love them.

Yep, I read 50 Shades. Liked them! And it got me in the mood too lol Dh would always say, "Are we doing this because you were reading your book?" I got caught up in the storyline and wanted to know what was going to happen as well!

I also read the Hunger Games and LOVED them! Some of my favorite books

I read them and hated them. They are very poorly written and highly redundant. Plus you can tell that the writter has 0 experience with BDSM or D/S relationships. A D/S relationship is NOTHING like what the books portray. What is in those books is an abusive relationship in guise as a D/S relationship. It puts the whole BDSM community in a bad light.

I had a debate on this on a FB group. this is not an abusive relationship (not in my opinion and I've been in an abusive relationship)

I haven't read. Not sure if I want to - I think there is other better written erotica out there, even ones with story lines.

Hunger Games - good series. Still debating about reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

I saw the Hunger Games movie recently with my two oldest kids. Once I got passed the fact it was all based off the idea of people needing to die I got into it. They really liked it. I just reserved the next 2 books in the series at my library so I can't wait to read those with my two oldest.

I haven't read it. I would if someone gave the books to me or something but I'm not going out of my way to get a hold of them. I would rather read something that is well written.

I am on the 2nd book right now and am finding it hard to continue. It is so repetetive, and does nothing to get me in the mood, but I do want to know what happens to the characters so I will probably keep reading.

I read #1 and #2 and I'm half way through #3.

I agree they are poorly written, however I still loved it. It sometimes got me in the mood. But what I loved most was that I wanted to know what happened to the characters.

I don't read much though, so I don't have a lot to compare it to either. But it was an easy read.

Given that I do Pure Romance parties I really had no choice but to read them. They've become quite relevant to my industry. Our product line actually has an entire "Grey Revolution" collection now. I personally think the books are written very poorly and the characters are not well developed - and the "kinky" sex was not terribly kinky in my opinion - HOWEVER I *do* love that these books have brought women's sexuality into the spotlight. I have women coming to my parties with their minds open to items & ideas that would've previously been outside of their box (no pun intended). So even if the books are crap from a literary standpoint I am still very happy that they've busted the door wide open for women to explore/re-explore their desires.

It is as far as BDSM goes.
