My little Peanut seems to be losing interest in his afternoon nap. He still takes one, but it's later in the day and not as long as it used to be. So I wonder if he's phasing them out. What age do they usually go down to one nap a day? Isn't it a couple months early yet?

Alexis takes 2-3, but 2 of those can last maybe 20 minutes. She really only take 1, sometimes 2 but not always, really good nap a day. I think as long as she is functioning, sleeping the night, and happy, then there isn't much you can do. My big girl cut her naps really early, so I know it happens.

Everett takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap. He will probably continue to do so until 18 months or so.

Keelan usually takes two short(ish) naps a day. Sometimes only one long one, depending on whether or not we have stuff going on.

Dominic is down to one nap most days, and definitely still needs it! Kaitlyn had given up naps completely by 14 months.

Avery is still on two per day, but once in a while she really fights the afternoon nap.

I read somewhere that if they resist the second nap, but still sleep for 1+ hour, then they still need it. It's when they resist going to sleep and only take a short nap that you know it's time to try to cut out the 2nd nap and making their nap at some point between when the two used to be.

Alex has only been taking 1 for over a month now. She usually sleeps about 2 hours. We did push her bedtime up an hour or so when she dropped her afternoon nap. She gets kinda cranky by bedtime some days.

2. One 30 min power nap, and one 2 1/2 hour one. He could do without the power nap, but he gets really really cranky, & I'd rather not deal. I put him to bed, & he powers up in 30-35 min!
Idk when he'll go down to one. Maybe never. I think he's just too active to go from 7am to 1pm with no nap. Layla went from 2 to 1 around 12-14 months.

1-2 naps a day. One longer one and a shorter, 45 minute one.
