My little one will be going to the childcare center at the local gym for an hour today! He is so clingy with me and hubby. Even when family is over if we leave the room he cries. So I am nervous about how he will be in the childcare center today. Hopefully he doesn't get really upset!

Best of luck, let us know how it goes! I am pretty sure if he is too upset they will call you to come and get him. Make sure you say bye-bye to him I read somewhere that sneaking away can make it worse.

It was pretty much a big disaster!! We got there and the lady took him out of my arms and he started freaking out. I sat down with him and tried to get him playing and he was unhappy. They told me to just go and he should calm down, if not they come get parents after 10 minutes. Well they came and got me 10 minutes later. I came in and calmed him and got him playing with toys and left. 10 minutes later they came and got me again! So I kept him out for a little bit and tried again. He did ok the last time for a little while and drank his bottle and then started crying again

I am going to try again tomorrow. I am thinking that I might try to go a few short times in the evening and bring my 9 year old with. If he was in the childcare center with my little one he would probably be okay and see that its fun. Then maybe when we went again he would be okay with it?

I don't know! Any suggestions??

Aww, poor thing. I have no experience with this myself. I think it's just a matter of time and getting used to the surroundings and faces? Tomorrow is another day!

I'm sorry it didn't go well I don't have any suggestions as I'm SURE Dominic would be exactly the same way. Does he have any favorite toys or items he could take to calm him down?
