I started having really bad back pain Monday when I was walking up the stairs to come to work. Hurt all day, and all evening. I went to bed Monday night, woke up Tuesday and felt fine. Came back to work, walked up the stairs again... and was in even more pain!

I couldn't stand straight up yesterday and all day no matter how I am sitting or standing it hurts. It feels like something is pinching by my tailbone. Tylenol doesn't do anything at all. So I called the chiropractor thinking he would be able to help. Went yesterday at 3:30, and if anything he has made it worse.

I don't really think it's baby-related, but the thing that worries me a little is that the baby's movement has slwoed right down! Usually before bed he goes crazy, but he didn't last night. The only time I can actually remember him kicking since yesterday morning is when the chiro was bending me like a pretzel lol

Think I need to go to the doctor? Is there something else I can do for pain? Any muscle creams that are safe?

TIA ladies

PS. I am 26 weeks, 4 days.

Yes, I would go. At the very least, I'd put a call in. It's probably normal aches and pains, but I worry about preterm labor for obvious reasons.

I'd still call, because at the very least if it does become something else, it's in your file now as reference to when it started etc.

I'm glad he started kicking you!

I'd call. I had that really bad too. In fact, I still have it. I think it baby was pressed in my lower spine in a weird way for a while or something.

My thought is I would rather call or go to the dr. and find out it was nothing to worry about then not go and find out it was something serious! Keep us posted!

I did call, but unfortunately my dr is out for the week. They asked if I wanted to see somebody else but I decided not to.

My back is actually feeling 75% better today, and I have been experiencing MAJOR muscle and skin stretching since the middle of the night last night. So I am thinking that it was just either the baby growing big time all of the sudden and he nestled some place in my back, or just ligiment pain in my back? Either that, or the chiro did work - just not instantly!

Feeling much better though!

I appreciate the input from you guys! I am always scared I'm overreacting but you all make me feel normal haha

I'm glad you are feeling better. If it starts up again you should definitely go in to see anyone...at least then you will get some peace of mind
