I am nearly done making my stepdaughter's homecoming dress
We took one of my old dresses from high school that she loved. It looks like the light pink dress on the right on this website (of course I tried looking up the brand and style of mine online and couldn't find it!)
So I shortened the dress for her and made the top part not so long...now the skirt part starts just below the waist and ends at the knees. We made a zebra print sash along the waist and are working on making a bow from leftover zebra and pink fabric. I have a cute bling type pin that we are going to put on the bow. And we bought iron on rhinestones to put over the tulle all around the dress. Homecoming is this weekend so we are going to be working overtime the next two nights to finish! lol (Our progress stalled while she was grounded because hubby and I were not going to let her go to homecoming.)
Anyways I will post pics when we are done. I am just excited because I made a lot of progress on it today during my little guy's nap.
