I am so excited about DH's birthday. Normally, he always wants to go to the Texas State Fair. It's fun...I guess. But I think of it more like a "one time fun" kind of thing and not every year, LOL. For my birthday, he surprised me and we went out to a very nice restaurant together in Ft. Worth and then we walked downtown and had a couple of drinks together then went back to my brother's house (who was watching BB). It was fun. We had a nice time together. I wish we could have stayed out later, but we didn't want to have my brother watch BB for too long, lol.
So anyway, I went to this awesome Musical/Magic/Comedy show in Austin, TX in June. It was SO AWESOME. I haven't ever laughed so hard in my life. I've been wanting to go to something like that again (Austin is 5+ hours away from here).
His birthday is Oct 14. We are going to be in DFW for the weekend because his brother's wedding reception is Friday evening. (Get this...it's at 7pm. DH doesn't even get HOME from work until 5:30pm. We're 2 hours away! We aren't the only ones 2 hours away either. Nana and Papa, FIL and SMIL, MIL and SFIL, and if SIL goes...It's kinda weird that they would plan it at that time knowing we all have to travel and will be late!!)
But yeah, I am pretty excited. For my birthday, he just told me to wear something nice. Then when I didn't know what to wear, he told me "I really like when you wear that dress..." So I knew we were doing something nice.
He took me to one of those restaurants that only has a few items on the menu, lol. It was a lot of fun, very romantic, and then it was fun walking downtown and grabbing a drink together.
So I am just going to tell him to wear something nice. I am even going to go pick up a new dress
