I admit that I know basically nothing about the Constitution. I'm embarassed. Well, I'm taking this class and I cannot find any of the answers for a whole bunch of questions they are asking. To be honest, if I had the slightest clue, it wouldn't be so different. But it is so hard for me. I get online and it is literally like reading a foreign language. I don't know how to explain this - it's like math to some people. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I was wondering if I could post some of the questions here, if you guys could let me know if you have any idea???

Here is one question: (choose one answer)

One of the advantages is that it:
- is a mixed form of government
- concentrates power in the hands of one person
- allows the people to govern directly without representatives
- enables the wealthier classes to hold all political power.

The ability of one branch of government to prevent another branch from exceeding constutionally-given powers is known as:
-balance of powers
- checks and procedures
- checks and balances
- separation of powers

The federalists were more accepting of the Articles of Confederation than the anti-federalists
- true or false?

Can anybody help??

The others are not true to the US government.

The ability of one branch of government to prevent another branch from exceeding constutionally-given powers is known as:
-balance of powers
- checks and procedures
- checks and balances
- separation of powers

Each of the 3 branches check the other branches to preserve the balance of power.

The federalists were more accepting of the Articles of Confederation than the anti-federalists
- true or false?

(Had to look this one up) The Federalists supported a central government while the Anti-Federalists were against it (anti=against)

I hope this helps. We'll see if my year of teaching US history has paid off.

OMG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 25 questions and I've only been able to answer 5 of them on my own. Here are more, in case you are still feeling generous!!!! I'm still searching my heart out, but these are the ones I'm spinning my wheels on:

Which of the following was NOT one of the compromises related to slavery included in the Constitution?
- The outlawing of slavery by 1860
- The outlawing of the slave trade by the year 1808
- The counting of slaves as 3/5 pf a person for the purposes of a proportional representation
- The fugitive slave clause

The Federalists were more accepting of the Articles of Confederation than the anti-Federalists
-true or false

All of the following were major problems with the Articles of Confederation EXCEPT
- they forbade America from accepting foreign military support
- they provided no mechanism for the payment of American troops
- they provided no mechanism for the levying of taxes
- they had no way to compel the individual states to repay their war debts

The last question is false.

The anti-federalists were more accepting because they were against the government having all of the power. The Articles of Confederation gave almost all power to each individual state.

ETA: I meant the last question in your first post!
