Basically nothing while nursing. It can dry up your milk. I am getting over a cold, and vicks and halls and tea have been my friend with generous doses of tylenol

We have not gotten sick yet, knock on wood. Lily just got the flu shot at her last check up. I will likely get mine sometime soon and DH has to get his because of his job.

it amazes me that ive been able to cope without cold meds for almost 2 yrs. due to being preggo and nursing. its crazy how much we rely on it! i hate not being able to take something for a cold but really ive gone this long!

I've taken a low does allergy med when I have had a cold to be able to breathe! It sucks that decongestion meds dry us up huh? I personally don't get a flu shot but hubby does.

I have gotten a flu shot three years in a row now. I should being a teacher anyway, but my first year teaching I got the flu and was MISERABLE! So now I always get mine.

Carter got the first half, but has been sick a lot since then so he hasn't gotten the second shot yet. I hope that's not what's been causing him to be sick. I think it has more to do with me going back to school and bringing home tons of germs. I was still BFing last school year after maternity leave that I think that helped him fight the germs off better!

Seeing as they only guess which strain of the flu it will be, it is not effective. We do not get the flu shot and haven't had the flu in 2 years. We rarely even get colds.
