The point is that comparing someone's treatment of their child to that of a pet owner, implying that the only children who would require the use of a given parenting technique are children with behavioral problems, or smirking that although you have many children you have never even considered utilizing a particular tool, is what people were offended by. If someone had directed your comments at you, but in reference to something that you DID use with your many children, you would have been upset. That, my dear, is the point.

I feel the fact that you said the only kids who use them are ones that are hyper active or have behavioral problems. Well who are you to say that. You do not know those children and what issues they may have. I'm sorry you cant see that what you have said is offenivse, but the fact is it was. I didn't want to chime in but the fact you keep defending yourself makes me mad. I do have a ADHD child who also has devolpmental issues, and no I was lucky and didn't have to use a leash when she was younger, but many times I was close. As she didn't understand not to run off and such. So please shut you mouth, and stop judging others who you nothing about. Because you did judge.. FACT! There is more in what you said that can be deemed offenive and rude but ill leave my point I those alone. And no was rude or bulling you. Yes people are allowed a opinion but just do t be so rude and judge mental about that opinion. I'm done I will not reply to this post again. I'm sorry for causing more drama!

Dear,
this is where u and the others are mistaken...my opening line is a question. once again i will explain that in no way did compare a kid to a dog. I simply described what the leash looks like for those who are not familiar, ( such a couple of my friends, they had no idea what I was talking about and had never seen it ) it looks the same. key word "looks".
another thing...no where did i point fingers at any mothers, nor did i say i look down on anyone, nor did I imply that hyper or bad kids are the only ones that use it...key phrase is the only kids "I " have seen is such. and the poor parents are really struggling too. I wanted to reach out and say ...its OK...
there is nothing offensive or judgmental anywhere in my question. me saying that i have never thought of using one and I have never lost a kid translate to me judging??? well then theres something defo wrong with translation!!
