I had little rose in for a 3 week check on her ears. That went well, fluid draining, looks good, etc.

While there I brought up her body temperature issues. She still drops her temp low - like 95's rectally. She did it again over the weekend at night. Dr was not sure what to think since this is not common. I'm charting her body temperatures for a few days and he's going to be researching this.

Hopefully it's nothing but her being a naturally "cool" body.

Last night, she was fussy, woke up several times - yep, a body temp of 96.0. She was 98. something at the drs office and back up to 97.9 this morning.

This child is giving me all sorts of white hair.

Thats so odd. Working in health care the only times I've ever seen low body temp we're during an infection and when elderly patients were near death.

Have they completely ruled out infections for her??

at this point they don't see any other signs to indicate an infection, especially since this isn't a daily occurrence.

That is odd but it's not crazy low, so if doc says everything is fine, I wouldn't worry.

95 is considered mild hypothermia.

That is kind of concerning, I'm sorry mama! I hope that you get some answers after the dr does some research.

I hope you get some answers. My whole family has low temps, mine is around 96.8 normally. None are 95 though.

I have a lower temp too - about 97.2, but yea, not in the 95's.

She acts different and feels cool and clammy when she gets low, so it's not completely normal, even for her.

I should add, she's been running around 98 since yesterday morning.

I've got nothing! we had a girl in the hospital (she was probably 20 or so) who had that happen to her and they couldn't find a cause.

I really hope you get it figured out. That would give me a whole ton of gray hairs.
