Are you still cutting or tearing baby's food into bite size pieces, or are they getting whole sections, ie half of a sandwich?
What about grapes? Are you still cutting them into quarters, or have they graduated to halves or whole grapes?

I still cut most things, sandwiches are in fingers, grapes in half, apples in chunks things like that. I find if I don't cut it, he tries to shove the whole thing in his mouth.

Depends on the food...Like right now she's eating a quesadilla & I just cut it into slices & she eats it like that.

Grapes freak me out so I cut them in half, still.
For the most part, we don't cut food for her.

I still cut everything. And I still have to give her a few pieces at a time or she will shove everything in her mouth at once and try to choke herself. I even break crackers at least in half.

I cut sandwiches and quesidillas in quarters bit that's about it. He gets whole grapes.

This. I try to give him whole pieces of crackers, etc, but he tries to shove the whole thing in his mouth. So I'm working on putting the big piece of whatever-it-is in his mouth, teaching him to bite it, and removing the rest. LOL. And grapes scare the hell out of me, so I quarter those. I hate it when he coughs when he's eating. I always think he's going to choke to death!

grapes are sometimes in halves. When her siblings give them to her, they're whole and she does fine.

It depends on the food as to the size we cut it to. It's finger food style, still cut pizza into smaller pieces and sandwiches too. I probably cut it smaller than I need to since she recently ate a hot dog without it being cut. Don't know how that happened.

Fruit gets cut up for her, some meats, pbj (for whatever reason she will only eat those if they are in tiny pieces - weird), pretty much everything else she does on her own including hotdogs and corndogs.
She can and will eat grapes whole, but I always cut them in half when she is sitting in her high chair. Though she hasn't had grapes in a long time because the last two times she had them she threw up. I'm not sure if that's why, but watching her tiny little body try to heave up grape peels was pretty horrible

Most stuff I cut up into smallish pieces. Grapes are in halves. Thinking maybe I will slow down on the knife action soon though.

The only thing I cut these days is meat. He eats everything else without it being cut. I think he likes it that way.

I find some days she likes things whole but for the most part I still give her smallish pieces. I find she eats more that way.

Just this conversation is freaking me out! Lol grapes will continue to be cut til he's at least 3. Even if he seems able to manage it, accidents happen and that's the perfect shape and size for choking deaths. That's too scary for me. He gets most things cut because he's stopped biting off pieces and instead shoves things whole in his mouth or tosses it on the floor.

I still cut grapes, most food gets broken down actually. I will give her a whole cookie, or half a sandwich, but in general, it's all cut.

She eats most stuff whole, but I squish grapes and apples. Cutting doesn't seem enough to me, lol.
