Hey im in NY we got heavy winds but really nothing else here. NOT anywhere near what they thought. We are about an hour from the coast tho, they got it much worse. The town I work for got it kinda bad half hour from me. . .but here, we did okay!
Massachusetts, about 45 minutes from the coast. We had some lights flickering, and some good wind/rain, but that's about it. Our neighborhood is in good shape, but a lot of folks lost trees here and there. All in all, we were very lucky though.
My summer camp lost about 8-10 large trees on the road in, but no structural damage to any sites/buildings. I have never been so happy to have had the tree service in in August to cut back dead limbs - I think it would be a different story if they hadn't come.
Hubby's grandparents are hunkered down in NYC - no power, but no major damage in their area. Whew.
We live 5 minutes from the coast in NJ and our area was hit really hard. Luckily our house was okay and we have power but there is a lot of damage everywhere and it's almost impossible to get gas anywhere! It's so sad to see how much people have lost.
I'm on the NJ/PA border. We lost power for 5 days and there was damage to houses in my neighborhood Luckily we were spared. I had an agonizing week at my in laws that I can't even go into on here. Didn't help me and my husband's situation at all. I didn't sleep a wink the night of the storm. So noisy outside! I was terrified that a tree would land on my house or my roof would blow off!
