We're still using whole milk right now as well, Rebecca is really small and doesn't eat very well, so I feel like she still needs it. I see my pedi in a couple of weeks, and I was actually going to ask her when the transition to 2% is normally made, but I don't plan on switching Rebecca until close to her 2nd birthday.
Can't wait to meet our new baby GIRL! Never forgetting all my sweet angels: Twins 10 weeks 1/2010 Baby B 8 weeks 8/2010 Angel 5 weeks 3/2013
We use full fat milk for the kids. DH and I use 1%. I actually switched my oldest back to full fat milk b/c she was on 2% and I didn't want to buy 3 different kinds of milk. I'll switch both girls to 2% a little after LO turns 2.
Mommy to Miranda 1/17/08 & Annabelle 3/24/11...Waiting for Elaina Marie due May 5th 2014
We do 2% but my 18 month old eats more than my 3 y/o. I kept the 3 y/o on whole milk until she was 2 1/2 because she really isn't a big eater and got most of her calories from milk.
Mom to 4 beautiful kids! 3 on Earth and 1 in heaven. Our little girl, Matilda Hope had Down Syndrome. She was born with TMD, a disease that is like leukemia. She fought that and beat it. Then, she had liver failure. She beat that, too. On October 17, 2014 she had NEC, necrotizing enterocolitis. My baby went to Heaven on October 19, 2014. She lived exactly one month.
BM and 2% here. Only because ds can't quite handle whole just yet. Within 15-20 mins of comsuming whole...it's back up I figure he gets enough calories from breastmilk that the 2% is just getting him used to reg. milk.
