No, I heard the mini pill was best for nursing because it didn't mess up your supply. At least that's what my OB said and that's what she put me on when I was nursing. Then she told me to make sure to switch to a regular pill when I was done nursing.
No, there are many types of birth control that a nursing mother shouldn't have because it can mess with your hormones which will impact your milk supply. It says it's a combination birth control and should be avoided until at least 6 months old when baby is established on solids. I would go back and insist on getting the mini pill, your doctor obviously doesn't know much about how birth control can impact breastfeeding!
