Well our photoshoot today SUCKED!! All that money down the drain. I will be surprised if we got two decent pictures. She was SO pissed off. The only thing that made her semi, sorta, maybe a little happy was to give her a package of fruit snacks. Then she wouldn't put the package down so all of her pictures are of her holding the package of fruit snacks. DH was a douche the entire time (when I even told him he didn't need to go). He was grumpy, rude, and a PITA just like Brynlee.

Needless to say, he's now pissed at me because I didn't go to his family's. they cooked something that I don't like and honestly, I just don't want to be around him or his annoying family.

So if I only post one picture when we get the CD...now you know why.

/end rant

That's why I can only stomach professional shoots once a year. It seriously stresses me out & it sucks.
I bet you get more than you think. Weren't you concerned last time? You got soooo many good ones from that shoot.

Usually she warms up quickly, but this time...she didn't. She just stood there staring with her hand in her mouth then threw some fits. I just hate that I bought her outfits, bows, and had to get shoes because she didn't have any white ones that fit. Then we drove 45 miles. Then paid the photographer and will probably only get a few shots.

Grrrr. I guess y'all can tell from my post that I have been in a bad mood today.

You just described prefectly why I don't do professional pictures anymore. I used to do them every 3 months with my first, or at least tried to, but I was spending so much and then was getting pictures of tantrums.

I hope you get better pictures than you're expecting.

I'm sorry Mandy. When Tristan was 4 months old my sister thought it would be a fabulous idea to get pictures for my parents at Christmas of me, chris, Tristan, my brother, and my sisters family. Coordinating 5 adults + 2 babies was almost IMPOSSIBLE. when my niece (18 months at the time) wasn't crying Tristan was and when we would get him calmed down she would throw a fit. She tried to run out of the room a couple times and we were all at our wits end. It took an hour and a half for 3 DECENT shots. The best one we could get with the kids was my niece staring down at a book and Tristan looking completely freaked out LOL. I am still traumatized by that which is why I don't do regular professional pictures.

Oh no! I bet you still get some good pics though because she is super cute....smily or not! Could you ask the photographer to maybe photoshop the fruit with a heart or something?
Sorry it did not go as planned.

At this age I start incorporating small candies or neat little props for their pics, keeps them from screaming at least. Can you get the photog to come to your house or a nearby park? Since I started doing that its a lot less stressful and I get the disk and lots of great pics-everyone's more relaxed and so much easier
