Her fits stopped when we turned her. I think she wanted to be able to see us. She would always turn her head where she was trying to see us. Which seemed dangerous to me for her to have her neck like that.

This is Tristan. He used to be AWFUL in the car. He would try to turn towards us and cry and scream. One day I let my dad watch him and he took Tristan to the park in his truck facing forward. He said he loved it and was happy as a clam. I tried it out and turned his car seat and ever since he has been so pleasant and happy. He laugh and talks and bops up and down. I know they aren't supposed to turn FF until 2 (at least) but like you Mandy my sanity was a risk. Every time we would drive I'd always be looking back trying to calm him down. Now I feel more focused on the road and more alert. I know his pedi is going to lecture me but I seriously don't think I can turn him back

My pedi didn't say anything. He just wanted to make sure we at least met the minimum requirements. I turned her around 14 months and it has been glorious since then, lol. He knows she is very well taken care of

Obviously you have every right to make your own choices, but I have to respond to this. Her legs hitting the back seat will not hurt her or make her uncomfortable. I had DS#1 RF until he was 40 pounds and 40 inches tall. Here are a few pics of him in the seat two days after I turned him around. I could not strap him in because the straps were adjusted for Lew...but you can see what he did with his legs. He was actually more uncomfortable forward facing because his calfs were at the edge of the seat instead of his knees. RF he would frog his legs, cross them, or put them up on the seat.

I'd change Kaylee if she was turned around looking at us and freaking out, too - nobody thinks your LO's aren't well taken care of, and I'm almost positive nobody is judging you (at least I'm not!)

Graco my ride - RF

Mandy- L was like that. with Bob it's actually easier because she faces the girls in the 3rd row, so they can see her and talk to her and what not (or tell me what her issue is)

Mandy, Carter rarely throws a fit in the car. If he does we put mickey mouse on for him. He loves music and dancing and looking out the window. I think he's just hit 20 pounds so nowhere near ready to turn around. If he threw a fit every time or got car sick we would probably turn him around sooner but not before 2.

As far as his feet hitting the back of the seat, they do. He kicks his mirror every
time he gets in the car. He just puts his feet up on the seat or frogs them. He hasn't crossed them yet. At this growth rate, he'll be rear facing until 4+

Me either. Heck, I got ticketed for not having James in a car seat at all when he was 2.

Britax Marathon 70 and she's rear facing.

Alexis is pretty easy going in the car. It helps that her older sisters sit behind her so she always has entertainment.

Graco MyRide 65. Zachary is still rear-facing, and will be for awhile. He does HATE getting into the car seat, but once we start driving, he calms down pretty quickly.
