I am home with my peanut today. He was burning up this morning. Fever of 102.4. He's never had a fever that high before. I'm alternating Tylenol & ibuprofen. Is there anything else I should be doing? His nose is running a little but not too bad.

I find Advil works a lot better on fevers than tylenol, but alternating is a good method as well. Cold compress, fluids, etc. You are doing all the right things. If it doesn't go away in a day or two, I would bring him to the doctor.

Luke warm baths really work too. Must be something going around. Keelan is sick too.

So the Tylenol is every 4 hours but the ibuprofen is every 6 hours. So I'm really confused as to how often to administer each. Lol

I find it's useful when alternating both is to write down the time which one was last given, then cross it out and put the next time it can be given down.
