Will has had a fever of 101-102 all day. The Tylenol helps being it down to about 99-100.

Well I gave him a Luke warm bath (not hot, not cold). And I noticed he was turning blue and shaking. I took him out and he shook in my arms for about 15 mknites. It freaked the hell out of me. He is asleep in my arms now and not shaking anymore. His fever is back up to 102.

Was the shaking thing normal? as this happened to you guys before?

I would call the after hours number for his pediatrician and ask then what you should do. That sounds so scary! They might recommend taking him to the er especially if the fever isn't going down with meds. Hugs mama!

Shaking, shivering can be normal with a fever. Your body gets cold and you can't get enough blankets on you. It's usually when it's coming down though. Couldn't hurt to give the doc a call, though.

I'm not a baby, but I shook like crazy when I had a fever with mastitis!

I know when Kaylee had her fever she was lethargic - would not move a muscle. Drs told us that as long as her temp would go down at least a little with Tylenol and she is still eating/drinking that there's nothing else they can do.

That being said, you're the mom and if u think he needs a doctor, don't hesitate to call or go in!

Hope he feels better soon!

Even though the water was warm, the temperature difference between his body and the water may have been too extreme and cooling too quickly can cause seizures. If it were my baby I would have him seen.

It's normal with a fever and change of temp. If you don't feel comfortable, of course call your Doc.

Thanks everybody. I'm so glad I have this place.

Will was hot all night. His fever ranged from 101-102.4. He was hot to the touch. I took off his pajamas and wiped him down with a cool cloth a couple times. He just laid there and let me. He didn't have any appetite for breakfast and he just wanted to be held but right now he is actually playing and nibbling on some peanut butter crackers. His fever is around 99.

I really hope the worst is over.

Thanks again. I don't know what my mom did without the Internet. Lol
