Does your little one show a preference for left or right hands yet? What are you and daddy, right or left?

Both DH and I are right handed, both girls are right handed so I'm assuming that DS will also be right handed but he's still using both hands pretty equally.

Dad and I are both right handed. So is DS#1.

Lew uses his right hand almost exclusively. I keep handing him crayons and forks or whatever to his left hand, but he only uses his right for that kind of thing. So I am 100% sure he is right handed.

Me and DH are right handed, but I have definitely noticed Kaylee using her left to eat and colour. Not sure if she uses it MORE than the right, but she uses it!

Brynlee is funny. She will pick things up (like fork) with her left hand, try to use it, and then switch it to the right.

DH and I are both right handed. I do a lot of things left handed though, but I do not write lefty.

And um rachel?? Do you have an announcement to make????!!!!!!!!

congrats Rachel!!!!!!!!

Dh and I are both righty, but he's a lefty in sports. M was ambi for the longest time and we thought she might be a lefty, but last year she decided to be a righty. K is solidly right-handed, from day 1. Not sure with little rose. She still uses both.

Will has been using his right hand for everything since he was about 6 months old. It's crazy. He also kicks a ball with his right foot.

Hey, Rachel? WTH?

Carter appears to be a lefty. I was born lefty but learned to write right handed to be like my twin. DH is right but MIL is left.

When my twins were small I had to get OT support for one of them because they favoured their right before age 3. They said children should use both equally until around 5 years old. They thought she had cerebral palsy! Turns out she's perfect and to me it seems as though preference reveals itself far earlier than Drs expect!

Oh! And to answer the question. Lol. Df and I are right. Colton isn't showing preference yet although he's left dominant with his feet. He hops or lifts his right foot leaving the left for balance.

Right. DH & I both use right hands. Layla on the other hand is STILL ambidextrous. Not sure what to think or do about that, if anything. We're really working on handwriting, & I don't know how to approach this.

Mya shows preference for her left hand. She picks up forks/spoons and crayons with her left hand. C and I are both righties but his mom is a leftie. We shall see...

I would let het practice how she feels comfortable. For what it's worth, I hold my utensils wrong in my right hand, I bridge on my ring finger instead of middle.
