Anyone here have one placed...? I think I remember talk of them during our pregnancies...
I'd love to hear some stories!
I have my first official client! She's a vbac, and due to some BP issues it's looking like an induction. Her OB discussed using the foley bulb, and I'm hoping someone here might have some feedback on how things progressed using one, and if there was anything you might have liked someone to do to help comfort you at all during the process.
I have, I think? Is it also called balloon dilation?
If so I had it after 24 hrs of cervadil. I just wasn't dilating at all even tho my contractions were intense. An intern actually did mine. I grilled the crap out of her and probably scared her enough that she knew she better do it right. I was so scared because the initial exam when I went in to get induced was sooooo freakin painful and I thought the balloon would be 10x worse. It was uncomfortable but I don't remember the (extreme) pain I had with that stupid exam.

My best friend had one on day 2 of her induction. It was okay. She said it sucked getting it put in, and having a tube taped to her leg lol. She showed me the tube part, and it looked awkward. It did work, but she still ended up with a csection because her baby was in a bad position, and she was also on day FIVE of induction. She had everything you could possibly think of done to her. she is pregnant with her second, and hoping to get a VBAC
She's being given the rest of the week to progress on her own since they al;ready saw a wee bit of progression on Monday! This is great news! Hopefully come this weekend she won't even need to deal with this.
