Ok, so I'm on another course of thursh meds since my pain is back, but this time in my left breast. (oh, yay). I have a follow up appt on Wed, but I don't want to go in if the meds are working. We aren't sure that it's thrush, but the meds seemed to help last time and all they found on the u/s were cysts.
I told the nurse I'd try the meds again before going back in. I'm about half way through a 2 week course. Saturday I sat with an ice pack on my breast for most of the day.

For those of you that have experienced thrush, how long after you started the medicine did you stop having the pain?

Thanks in advance for your help.

For me it was 3-4 days before I felt any relief from the pills, and I was only given 7 days worth. Should have been 14.

Thanks Tricia.

I'm thinking Saturday was 5 days for me on meds and if it was bad enough for me to put ice on it, it was bad.

I've had some pain still yesterday and today, but have been ignoring it.

Still on the fence about going in. Grrrr - if it would just go away, then I wouldn't have to decide.

Did you find that ice helped? I never got any releif from ice, heat, pain killers or anything else. Do they think the thrush is in your ducts?

I didn't really have pain in the breast if he wasn't nursing. I'm sorry you're dealing with that@

Tricia - they don't know if it's thrush, but trying least invasive first. The ice has so helped the pain/burning. Like ice cold ice - on bare skin ice.
