Have any of your little ones had roseola? I'll have to see if the pediatrician is open tomorrow but I'm thinking he might have it. A week ago Will developed a fever of 101-102 for a few days. Then it went away. And today he developed a rash that started at his inner thighs, moved to his neck & chest, and is now all over his upper arms. It has me worried. From what I have read, roseola isn't serious. But I'm worried in case that's not what t is.

Hey Ani, Zoe has had this too. It also started with a fever and then the rash appeared on her arms, belly and back. It went away after a couple of days but she was ok. I hope he is ok and that it is just this silly rash. KUP and fingers crossed

It could also be hand foot and mouth. I hope he feels better soon!

Karen, it spread a little overnight. It's on his bum now, as well as his arms, upper legs, neck, and a little on his back and sides. Nothing on his face. It doesn't seem to bother him. The dr doesn't open for a couple hours so its a waiting game.

Alexis had it last year, it started with a really high fever for 3-4 days and as soon as it broke, she developed the rash. I think the rash was all over her body, but I remember it being gone within just a few days.

Well, I had made an appt for him for yesterday morning. There is a new pediatrician 5 minutes from our house. (Our old pedi is about 40 minutes away.) I got there, spent 20 minutes filling out paperwork, only to find they didn't take our insurance.

So I made an appt for the afternoon for the old pedi. But the rash was getting better through the day so I cancelled the appt.

I can still kind of see it, but it is much better than it was. So even though the rash was a week after the fever, it still seemed like roseola to me.

Thank you everyone for your feedback and positive thoughts!

Xavier had it about 3 months ago. Freaked me out! He had the high fever, and the next morning when I went to get him out of his crib, he was covered in a rash all over his face and trunk. It got better in one day, and was gone in two.
