Had our 36 week appt. Not too much to go over...
Gained less than 2 lbs in 2 weeks. THANK GOD.
Up 32 so far I believe.

Cervic check.... .5 cent dialated and 40% effaced. Don't really know what the 40% effacement means for us, since with Emma we were .5 cent dialated and 30% effaced at 39 weeks with Emma.....

It really can mean nothing you can go from not being dilated or effaced to full blown labor. Yay for a good check up though.

It could mean that you never know. Once effacement finishes you dilate more quickly because the cervix is completely thinned out. I was 3cm and 70% when I went into labor with Everett. She is putting the correct pressure though to begin the process though.

Good heavens....had to re-read the message as I thought you put 5 cent dilated - labour-time ! LOL
Great appointment! Would you prefer a VBAC then or happy to have the c-section still?

UGH I want vbac. I envy all the ladies that had the chance to push their babies out. Have their child placed on their belly.

I had such a bad experiece with the c section with Emma....it scares me.

You can do it! Will your OB be will to not schedule your c/s until labor begins? And give you a trial of labor?

She's really fearing another episode like with Emma. Since I don't have much of a torso and all..... And to be honest if I don't go into labor on my own by 39 weeks, I am okay with c section. As much as I can be. I don't want to go through the same thing I did with Emma. I'd rather plan it and do it. Doc is worried about uterine abruption obviously. Since it's been 18 months since my last c section. And I have been having popping and pain in my scar area.

So lets chant Madalyn out early, on her own!! Come on baby girl....lets go!!

I can't wait to see her. She is going to be just beautiful. I hope her birth goes much better than Emma's and you have a fast recovery.

I better kick my weight loss into HIGH GEAR because I have already told DH that we aren't going to even try 1.) until at least August and 2.) until I lose between 30-40 lbs. I'd like to lose 40 before August but am not sure I can do that!
