As I've mentioned before, DH and I are eager to start TTC #2 but I have to get healthy first. Today marks my first week of weight watchers and I've lost 2.5 pounds. I was disappointed at the low number at first but am excited to be losing and hope that in a couple more months I'll be down to a low enough weight to feel comfortable night weaning Carter (if, lord forbid, he's still not night weaned himself) and seeing where we are. I'm really concerned about needing help this time since Carter was a freak (very welcome) accident and we were told it'd be very difficult to ever have kids.

Anyway, here's hoping AF has had a long enough vacation (5 months now) and we can get on to building our family and being healthy while doing so.

Wow! 2.5 lbs is great! I know what you mean about expecting more though. I did weight watchers in college and I remember losing about 4 lbs the first week and thinking HOLY CRAP! I'll be skinny in no time, LOL

But 2.5 IS great. I, too, am working on losing weight before we TTC #2. Luckily, DH is jumping on board, too. I can't quite get him to exercise, lol. But he is eating healthy breakfasts and dinners. He mostly eats healthy lunches, too but sometimes his co-workers persuade him to eat out. Then he eats crap!

GL! You can do it!!

What method are you planning to use for night weaning?

Keep up the good work! Weight watchers is designed for participants to lose 1-2lbs per week, not more. So be happy with 2.5lbs! I think that is great!

I'm just going to comfort and offer water if he's thirsty and get him in his crib full time. The other night he didn't nurse at all, we were at my moms and he slept in a baby chair next to the couch. So I'm not sure if its getting too dry for him here or the cat wakes him up or something.

2.5 lbs in a week is great! Good job!

I hope the night weaning goes well for you. I'm starting it now too. I'm just DONE with the 2 or 3 am feeding, so done... lol Last night didn't go that well. I tried comforting him but he wouldn't settle down so I ended up leaving. He cried off and on for about an hour maybe a bit more but then slept till 6. I hope he just gets over waking up at all. Anyways, enough of my rambling! good luck!

I think 2.5 in a week is pretty perfect, isn't that about what the experts say is a good number to expect and aim for? And if it keeps up, that's 10 lbs a month! (But don't get discouraged if it isn't the same every week of course!)

Way to go and good luck when you TTC!
