I am not strict about it yet, but I do make sure to say please and thank you when I do anything for him or when he does what I ask him to. I want it to be a more natural thing and not overly forced. Though when he's older I will flick him on the ear when he doesn't use manners with others. Pretty sure that's a mom thing, I remember my sister doing it to her kids, lol.
Kynslee is overall pretty good with manners. She now regularly says please and thank you for the most part. We are trying to tell her about excuse me (when trying to push her way through people, or if she burps, or has gas). We are not pushing the excuse me yet though as it's a bigger harder word for her to pronounce but we tell her 'say excuse'. She just smiles now but one day I'm sure she'll get it.
