19 months later, and I am really thinking deeply about what happened after I had the twins. Knowing that I could have DIED freaks me right out lol.

Did anyone else have this happen to them? What is your experience?

I am taking a parenting course in school right now, and have to write a report. I was thinking of doing it on this topic.

I think Ro did after one of her older girls.

I'm sorry it's hitting you now. ((Hugs))

I didn't, but I lost a lot of blood. OB said women typically lose 500-700cc of blood during delivery. He said I lost about 1500cc. I didn't need a blood transfusion though. But I looked at pictures of me when Brynlee was 2 weeks old and I was sooo pale and sick looking.

I remember them rushing Brynlee away and making DH go over with her. I didn't know what was wrong, but I saw a ton of blood on my OB's hands, arms, and the packing that he was putting in then quickly taking out of me. I saw the look on DH's face right before I started vomiting everywhere. He later told my mom that he thought I was going to die and he was going to be a single Dad.

So sorry you have gone through this. It's very scary, even just reading about it.

I did after I had Cole. I had to have a blood transfusion. OB said it was the worst one she had ever seen. You can message me if you would like for more details.

Thanks girls. I am not overly upset about it, but was just pondering how I could have died, and it wasn't at all how I thought it would be lol. It was just a very random thought.

Mandie, you seem like you have a similar experience as me.

Becca- wow! If it is the worst that the nurse saw, I wonder how bad it was! That is terrible!

I did after my 5th. I had a complete placental abruption with her, then hemorrhaged. This was the baby delivered en-caul (in the sack) with no one there. I was anemic for a year after that.
